Maternity Portraits are still one of my favourites to photograph! All mums just glow in these sessions as they anticipate the arrival of their newest family member!
Many mums are a little nervous and not sure what to expect! Well firstly don’t be nervous! I’ve got you! I will direct you how to pose and stand so thats covered! My client wardrobe is second to none out this way! I have around 40 high end gorgeous dresses/robes/bodysuits plus fabrics in many styles to suit all mums to be. I also supply the backdrops and gorgeous jewellery including crowns, necklaces, clip on earrings, rings and bracelets.
All you need to do is your hair and makeup! There are many great makeup/hair artists to choose from – however you may need to book them in weeks in advance.
I have a mobile studio so I bring it all to your place – light, backdrops, chosen dresses and all. Many mums love this as they are in the comfort of their own home for the session. I travel with my studio to homes in Orange, Molong, Bathurst, Blayney and close surrounds.
Best time to do your maternity session? Anytime from 28weeks or once your belly is starting to show. It is preferable to do the shoot prior to 36 weeks whilst you are still able to move and pose – however I’ve done a nearly 40 week mumma before – we just stuck with simpler poses. Most mums book for around 30-33 weeks – when the belly is lovely and round and perfect for maternity poses.
Belly looking a tad uneven due to baby stretching around? No worries – I”ll even it up a little in photoshop. Blemishes on the day? Got that covered too! Stretch marks? gone if you want me to! I just want you to have fun, we usually end up laughing and I’m a bit of a chatterbox too! :).
Hubby wants to come in? Please do!!! Come with a nice shirt/tidy pants. I have a few super awesome bow ties, hats suspenders should they wish to jazz it up a bit. I love it when the dad comes in too! Even if its only for one image its something special! We can discuss colours when you work out which dresses you would like to try.
